The Three Boutique Hotel (circa 1770)

The Three is a modern, sophisticated boutique hotel, but with an historic heart. You will find exactly the right balance of chic surroundings, 4 star facilities and friendly and personal service. The Three is walking distance to the District Six Museum, the Mount Nelson Hotel and the Company Gardens.

Justin and Natalia Pearson named The Three Boutique Hotel for being number three Flower Street and for the three iconic Cape Town views: Table Mountain, Lions Head and Devil’s Peak.  In the 1770′s the building was one of ten conspicuously large Manor Houses in Cape Town. It was originally owned and occupied by the Commandant of the Castle, General Robert J.Gordon, who mapped a good part of South Africa. He maintained a large garden – a floral paradise from where he exported rare plants to Europe and the East. Thus Flower Street got its name.
